Hello, I’m Lia — the founder and creative soul behind NiiDRA.

I’d like to share with you the story of how NiiDRA began, how it has grown over the years, and what has remained at the heart of the brand throughout this journey.

NiiDRA started in Bali in 2017 as a small, heartfelt project. I’m a yoga teacher, and I wanted to create a yoga mat that would actually inspire people to practice — because, let’s be honest, sometimes the hardest part of yoga is simply unrolling the mat.

So I designed nine original patterns for my own students and had them made in a small first batch.

The response was immediate. People connected with the designs, the quality, and the feeling they brought to their practice.

Many of those first students are still practicing on the very same yoga mats they bought in 2017. Years later, they are still in use - a reflection of the durability and quality we have always believed in.

But for me, a NiiDRA yoga mat has always been about more than durability.

Each design carries its own meaning and intention. The artwork is created to bring good feelings and inspiration, while our signature alignment line helps to find balance and precision in yoga asanas. I wanted the mat to become something you genuinely want to step onto - a small invitation to return to yoga practice.

From yoga mats to a world of practice

Over time, NiiDRA grew beyond yoga mats.

We created yoga mat bags to make carrying mats easy, water bottles for everyday practice, including our signature copper bottles crafted exclusively for NiiDRA from premium-grade copper, and a growing collection of yoga and meditation accessories.

Each new product has followed the same philosophy: beautiful, functional, meaningful, and made to last.

For years, NiiDRA grew through our website and social media, mostly through the yoga community and word of mouth.

Then, in 2023, we opened our first physical NiiDRA Yoga Shop in Ubud, Bali.

Since then, the brand has continued to grow, with new stores opening across Bali every year. Today, you can find NiiDRA in Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, and Uluwatu - and we are now preparing to take the brand beyond our beloved island.

Born in Bali. Created for practitioners everywhere.

Through all these years, two things have remained unchanged: aesthetics and quality.

I believe that yoga equipment can be functional without being ordinary. A yoga mat can be durable and beautiful. A yoga bag can be practical and still feel special. And the objects we bring into our daily practice can become part of the ritual itself.

That is why we create original designs, choose materials thoughtfully, and pay attention to the details that make a product feel good in your hands and under your feet.

Today, NiiDRA has developed a recognizable visual language and a collection of yoga mats, yoga accessories, meditation products, and mindful lifestyle essentials used by practitioners around the world.

But perhaps the thing that means the most to me is how people discover NiiDRA.

Around 90% of the customers who walk into our stores come because someone recommended us.

A friend showed them a yoga mat. A yoga teacher recommended a good quality. Someone brought a NiiDRA product to class, and they simply had to ask, “Where is that from?”

This is how NiiDRA has grown - one practice, one recommendation, one person at a time.

And I never take that trust for granted.

Because NiiDRA was never created simply to sell yoga products.

It was created from a love of yoga, beauty, and the little things that can make us feel inspired to come back to ourselves.

NiiDRA is for people who believe that the things surrounding their practice matter.

Beautiful things can inspire us. Quality can support us. Meaning can bring us back to ourselves.

And sometimes, all it takes to begin is to unroll your mat.
